Hello everyone,
In this new Gazette, you’ll find everything that creates the HomeExchange spirit: helping each other, sharing, traveling, and getting involved.
On the agenda: a new feature that will save you time (the listing translation tool directly in the app), and—as always—what makes the community so special: practical tips and stories that spark wanderlust (Australia, Paris, Silk road…). And to wrap up, a spotlight on concrete actions for responsible tourism.
Enjoy reading!

Android or iOS user? You can now request automatic translations of listings (home descriptions and profiles) directly from the app. No more juggling multiple language versions of your listing 🥳
If you already had several language versions of your listing, consider deleting the others to keep things simple: My account > My home > Title and description.

Exactly a year ago, we launched a new feature on the platform: automatically sending a decline after 4 days with no response to a request. The goal: improve member responsiveness and help you find an exchange more easily.
A year later, the results are clear: real replies arrive 3.2× faster, 96% arrive in under 3 days, and exchanges are finalized almost 2× faster.
So the feature is here to stay — but the automated messages, sometimes seen as too cold, will soon be improved.

🦘 Sarah’s trip — 6 weeks in Australia with her daughter
"I realized I could turn our summer into something special."
A single parent, on forced leave, with a daughter who just finished high school exams. Sarah opens HomeExchange, sends messages, and plans 6 weeks on Australia’s east coast—entirely through exchanges. Her daughter was born in Sydney but had never really explored the country. It was the right moment!
Her advice: always personalize your messages. "The more you share, the more people feel connected."
